Homestead Co-op Announces New Food Store in La Salle

We are proud to announce that the Homestead Co-op Board of Directors has approved plans for a new Food Store location in La Salle, Manitoba, reinforcing our commitment to enhancing life in the communities it serves.

New Products and Services

The new store will provide residents with greater access to fresh food, an expanded product selection, larger liquor section, a new pharmacy, and the trusted customer service Homestead Co-op is known for. The current La Salle Food Store will continue operating until the new building is ready.

“This new location will allow us to significantly enhance the shopping experience for our members and customers in La Salle, with expanded offerings and improved convenience,” said Trent Schidlowsky, General Manager of Homestead Co-op. “We look forward to welcoming the community into a modern space designed to better meet their everyday needs.”

Size and Location

The new store will be approximately 24,000 square feet in size, located in the south end of town between Highway 330 and Ella Drive. It is expected to open in 2027, with more details to be shared as the project progresses.

In addition to enhancing food accessibility, the new store will create employment opportunities and contribute to the local economy.
