Fuel Good Day 2026
Fuel Good Day is back and is marking a big milestone in 2026 — 10 years of giving back to organizations across Western Canada!
As always, five cents per litre of fuel sold on Sept. 15 will be donated to local charities so you can fuel good about filling up and giving back.
This year, there are additional initiatives to celebrate our 10th anniversary:
- For the week leading up to Fuel Good day (Sept. 9 – 15), Turtle Wax will donate $2 from every extreme car wash purchased at our Portage la Prairie Gas Bars. Extreme washes sold through the Car Wash App are also eligible.
- On Sept. 15, five cents per pound sold of propane will be donated. Cylinder exchange will not qualify towards the sales & donation.
- Continuing with the 10th year celebrations, a special edition Co-operative Coffee cup was designed. These cups will be released in August and will act as a reminder of the September 15th date, in the month leading up to Fuel Good Day.
This Year's Groups Are...
Carman Food Pantry
Every 4 weeks they offer food to all who are in need in Carman and Area. They have a number of volunteers that help organize and distribute food. They rely on food donated but also have to purchase some foods. Proceeds from the Fuel Good Day would help in giving them the ability to purchase more food. They have many people come through every 4 weeks and the need is growing.

Portage la Prairie's Holiday Avenue Project
The Holiday Avenue Project (HAP) is a non-profit organization, which began in 2020 and they are located in Portage la Prairie, MB. HAP is made up of dedicated volunteers who help fundraise and seek grant funding for our seasonal decorations and lighting projects. The purpose of the HAP organization is to plan, develop, and execute events, decorations, and improvements on Saskatchewan Avenue, greenspace areas, and parks to enhance safety, promote community engagement, beautification, and local culture in Portage la Prairie. The HAP organization collaborates with our city mayor, businesses, and community members, to enhance beautifications for all to enjoy and feel a sense of pride of our city. Proceeds from Fuel Good Day would support HAP's initiative to purchase seasonal decorations and lights to enhance beautification, safety, and promote community engagement.

Fueling good in your community since 2017!
Since its inception in 2017, Fuel Good Day has raised about $5.6 million for hundreds of charities across Western Canada, including more than $795,000 in 2025, a record-setting total.
Every year on Fuel Good Day, Co-op donates a minimum of five cents per litre of fuel purchased at participating gas bars to local charities and non-profits.
By supporting this worthwhile campaign, you continue to fuel 'good' in your local community!
In previous years, funds raised on Fuel Good Day have supported community organizations that provide comfort for children and their families during very difficult times, foundations that work to upgrade medical equipment to improve their patients’ lives and groups that make it easier for kids to play the sports they love, among many others.
